Is Meringue Technically Just Baked Air?
Who actually decided to put zesty lemon curd and fluffy pastry together in a dessert? Someone incredibly smart, that’s who. And while we might not know the exact dessert logic behind the classic lemon meringue pie, we do know exactly how to turn it into a phenomenal beer.
Lemming Meringue (5.5%) has officially landed online and at the Shiny Tap!
If you’ve ever wanted to drink a liquid lemon meringue pie, your moment has arrived.
What Does a Lemon Meringue Pastry Sour Taste Like?
We wanted this limited release to be a liquid masterclass in dessert logic.
Clocking in at a smooth 5.5% ABV, this fruited pastry sour hits the perfect balance between bright, mouth-puckering citrus and sweet, comforting dessert tones. We brewed it with a vanilla to mimic that pillowy meringue topping, layered over a crisp, tart lemon base.
When you pop the can, expect massive, vibrant flavours of:
-
Tangy lemon curd right up front
-
Fluffy, sweet vanilla meringue to soften the bite
-
A subtle, buttery biscuit pastry finish
It’s sharp, it's sweet, it's incredibly refreshing, and it tastes exactly like raiding the bakery fridge. Just... don't follow the leader off a cliff to get one. (Though we wouldn't blame you if you hurried).
